Seat belt location?
Searched, but couldn't find any pics on where factory placement of factory front lap seat belts should be. I picked up a set of original black for the Jimmy, got them cleaned up and respooled the passenger stubby to get it to retract correctly. But I can figure out where the factory placement is supposed to be.
Pics would help alot! Thanks! Here's a few pics of my Jimmy.

Re: Seat belt location?
Looks great, nice jimmy.
Pics from my old 71, some (not positive of the year change) had the pass. belt on the floor. |

Re: Seat belt location?
Thanks vtblazer. Does the driver side buckle attach at the step up like the passenger side buckle in the last pic? Not the retractor side but the buckle side by the center console?
And should there be factory mount holes already there, since the guy I bought the belts from included the bolts?

Re: Seat belt location?
Correct, the middle belt mounts are on the vertical part of the tub.
They 'should' already exist but I have seen some that don't have any holes for the pass. side. |

Re: Seat belt location?
My passenger belt was on the rear floor I had to move it when I added the roll bar I put it in the same place vtblazer has his.

Re: Seat belt location?
Thanks. I will be putting it where they won't conflict with a roll bar if/when I get one put in.

Re: Seat belt location?
While we're here, I also got a pair of outside mirrors. I need to know the correct mounting location if anybody could point me to the right direction?

Re: Seat belt location?
Hey I know this is an old old post but I've got a '70 and can't quite figure out where to bolt in the seatbelts. If you could shed any light on the subject it would be very appreciated.

Re: Seat belt location?
70 (really a late 69) no drip caps it has never had them)was in the floor mine was mounted just like driver with the same seatbelt. I bought a 71 seatbelt and moved it to the knee wall I bolted it and put a backer plate for more strength
