U Joint going out?

I'm getting a bad clunk when I put my truck in reverse, and if I nail it from a dead stop it feels like something in the middle or rear section of my truck is loose....does this sound like the U Joint?

If so, is it easy to replace the u joint?

Re: U Joint going out?

You will need to get under it and check where the slack is. It could be a u joint, center bearing or play in the read diff.
