Putting the old truck to work...

...at my new house site. I'm older than the truck so if I gotta work then it will too. How many of you are older than your truck? I'm 64, truck is 61.

I'm away younger than my truck, but I always put it to work. That's its job! It's a truck. Yours is way nicer than mine though,

I'm 68 and my truck, Red Ryder, is 58. We were both born in Los Angeles, Calif. It is alot better lookin than I am! Use it to go shopping, and some light hauling. Sometimes it transports my giant scale models to the flying field. The truck and I are both retired now!

Re: Putting the old truck to work...

I am also way younger than my truck. I turned 31 last month and the truck turned 64 this month. Still I put the old cow to work when ever I can. I had a nasty "garden" that the old owner of my house put in. It was wood chips and rocks. My truck is bone stock and all original but I loaded it down and took it 15 miles away to the dump and back. Then hauled two truck loads of black dirt with it. That dirt was wet and heavy so I was on the over load springs, still the truck powered home both times. And yes that plastic bag was from a mattress but its it's my bedliner and keeps dirt from falling between the boards. This winter I used it to haul home new couches so I could avoid the $100 delivery charge.

Unloading at the land fill

Unloading dirt.

I'm 68 and the truck is 64 so I'm older, we're both retired, but I work more than it does. Trucks been rebuilt, I haven't...Jim

Love threads like this! You have a great looking truck. Nice to see them working. Mine's not an AD but close. '55 2nd design GMC. It has to work for it's keep too. Here's a couple pics. Next Saturday I have to haul a garden tractor I refurbished down to my Father-in-Law. 75 miles one way, not too far.

I am one year younger than my '55!

We have several relatives in your area including both my sisters, in Littleton and Arvada.
