Do I need this for my LSX swap?
Doing a LS2 from a GTO with 4L65E auto trans..... Just seeing if I needed this bracket?

That would be a big NO you don't NEED it. I used a Lokar column shift linkage assy knock off eBay. The all thread rod supplied wasn't long enough to fit our truck so I bought a length of all thread from the local hardware store and then slipped a section of 5/16" polished stainless tubing over the all thread (left over scrap from my work).

I made my own out of the 3 spd manual column (VERY similar to the auto)
Simply 3/8" HRS rod...... a torch and vise/press..... and then threaded the end for the ball end joint. Made my own linkage arm tho too. (OLD/Clocked New)
