carb help....

howdy,

Im in the process of taking apart my Rochester Monojet carb. for cleaning/rebuild. What i can't figure out is how to take off the connector rods. They each have a pin on the ends. Thanks for any insights/techniques.

Re: carb help....

You have already removed the screw. Pry off the plate & the rod will come out of the power piston rod. Then turn it enough to remove the rod from the accel pump lever.

Re: carb help....

The goofy "heart" shaped plate that the rod goes into. Put a flat blade screwdriver between it and the carb body and give a little twist/pry. It will come right off the shaft. Once you get it off the shaft, everything else will be self explanatary to remove the rods.

Gary

EDIT: I see you got it done while I was posting. Great!
