71 c10 needing saved (update its been saved)
I had to share this one with you guys unfortunately this trucks fate is pretty sealed and it's not a good one in my book. hopefully it's okay posting this here since I don't own it and I'm not trying to sell it for them either. the current owner knows I need a new frame for my longstep so he's offered this truck to me 3 times now and I would certainly love to get a factory disc brake chassis to put under my truck instead of using the free chassis I already have and could purchase this truck for less than a conversion kit. to me this seems like way to nice a truck to strip for parts but I also learned that if I don't do something soon he's going to toss the body cut the frame down and put a super Cheyenne body on it so either way this current body is getting detached and put out to pasture. Just kind of curious what your thought were on it and how much do you think everything minus the chassis is worth(also considering you would have to come to mt to get it). I should have gotten some more pic's and engine specs and what not while I was there it looks nice in the pic but I was standing in 50mph+ winds it was miserable. the first time he offered it to me he said I could put a battery in it and drive it anywhere he has since then stole the gas tank out of it. some of you local guys might know who this is and I certainly don't mean any disrespect for what he's going to do to it he does really nice work and I certainly wouldn't mind seeing another super Cheyenne floating around.

Re: 71 c10 needing saved
that's what I was thinking that's why I was kinda curious if there was a market for a clean body like that up here in mt.

Re: 71 c10 needing saved
If the truck in question is a 71c-10 it came with disc brakes, it was the first year.does it have 5 lug wheels, as they went to 5 lug wheels when they converted to disc brakes.

Re: 71 c10 needing saved
I found out it's actually a 72. it does have the factory disc brakes and 5 lug all around, that's actually why I looked at it the first time was to steal the chassis for my truck but after looking at it I didn't have the heart to cut this one up.
