power brake pushrod ID.

Howdy folks, I've had to find a compatible pushrod because lo and behold my truck had a jimmy rig setup. A forum member sent me a picture of a replacement and I would like to call on your expertise. Will this pushrod work? He says its 2.5" long and 3/8 diameter. I have no idea what the original looks like. First pic is the replacement and the second is what I found in my truck when i changed out the MC.

The Booster has a tag on it ML47022 if that means anything.
