I made a trailer
I had a 72 C20 frame and mated a used bed with no wood left in the floor to it. I had a welder cut the frame and make the hitch for me. I then installed a used tailgate with some damage on it to the trailer. I got two sheets of 3/4" tongue and groove OSB and cut them to fit the floor and bolted them down. I used a left over piece of the OSB to make a step on the tongue of the trailer. I hand sanded the outside with 220 grit sandpaper to rough up the surface. Napa supplied roll on bed liner material. I rolled the bed liner material on the entire trailer, inside and out, masked the body moldings and painted them with aluminum paint. I touched up the hard to get at areas with Napa Chassis Black spray paint, which I also painted the tongue with. I am looking for a rear bumper to finish out the project.

Re: I made a trailer
Nicely done.
I have always wanted a matching trailer to tow around (and for light duty hauling). K

Re: I made a trailer
Looks great, nice work.
I want to make a matching short bed trailer to my truck, lowered with the same wheels and all. I'd like to finish/cap off the front of the bed as well.

Re: I made a trailer
I've got e few xtra frames and beds that aren't really that great, not much rust just a few dents.I'm curious if there would be a market for trailers like this. I could finish or the buyer could. Just looking to see if there would be any interest. Thanks Frank

Re: I made a trailer
My dad made two of these when i was young, got rid of both a few years before he handed the truck over to me. I wish i would have kept one of the trailers.
