Re: best shocks??
That's a pretty loaded question. How about you describe the type of "ride" you like best?

Comfort is the goal here. That seems to be a harder goal than performance and handling. After all its a Suburban!

Re: best shocks??
I have always used Monroe. They are cheap and have a good ride.

Re: best shocks??
I would go with the Monroe-Matics. IIRC - 33033 front; and 31000 rear for stock height. I think those were the part numbers of the shock I helped my buddy install on his truck a couple months ago - I had to help him cut off the old ones. You'll have to cross reference shock lengths for lowered or lifted suspension.

Re: best shocks??
Lucifer- PM me. I just took a pair of brand new Monroes off the rear of my C10 burb. Less than 10 miles on them. Went to air shocks. I will make you a real deal. Jim

Re: best shocks??
Not installed yet but I got a set of KYB GR2's on sale right at the local Advance Auto for my C10. I've used them on my OT vehicles and like the ride.
Gabriel's on now are not that good and they rusted in no time. |

Re: best shocks??
went ahead and put Monroe's on it for now. They seem to help the ride out.
Thanks to all for the input
