need facts & opinions on aftermarket A/C conversions
I talked to Hot Rod Air the other day and they claim they dont have a system just for the 67-72 chevy trucks.
I have already blanked off by original heater box openings and I am getting ready to smooth the cowl. I need to go with the underdash type system. What are the pro and cons of the aftermarket A/C systems you have in your trucks? Anybody have the sure fit series from Vintage Air? |

Hey church,
When I had my 72, I purchased the Vintage Air sure fit for my truck. The installation was a breeze, both under the hood and in the cab. I also purchase a brand new control panel from them so it would look more of a factory fit. The system worked flawlessly, it could get toasty in the winter and blew very very cold air in the summer. I just bought a system from Hot Rod Air in Dallas for my Corvette, it also is a very good fit. Hope this helps Cheers Richard

Go to the FAQ section, on the second page there are a couple different posts. I'm still trying to figure out which way I am going to go.
