71 c10 with 73 spindles alignment issue
I have a 71 c10 short box and i has a set of 73-86 "western" drop spindles from another project truck along with 1 inch cpp drop springs
I checked my old paper work and they are 73-86 so i changed my upper ball joints to 73+ and my it still needs to come way out on the top for more camber its leaning in way to far. My question is can you use 73-86 spindles on a 71 ? from what i read I should be ok as long as the ball joints are changed. I was wondering if i can use 73+ upper control arms on the 71 so i can buy the offset control arm shafts? or if i am missing something .... i have lowered several of these with no problem but never tried the newer spindles on the older truck... |

Re: 71 c10 with 73 spindles alignment issue
Pictures would help. Are there any shims in behind the upper control arm shaft? Your set up you did should work without any issues. I did a similar swap on my '65.
Yes, the upper 73+ arm will bolt up to your '71. That may not solve your problem...
