Going back to stock height from 2 1/2" drop spindles?

Been thinking about putting the truck back to stock height a lot lately. Just want to get an idea of what I'm looking at. So here's the story... The truck came with drop spindles and springs. I have since put stock height springs in the front and 1 inch taller ECE springs in the back (which look more like 3 inch taller springs to me). I am still not crazy about the ride and I still have issues with rubbing the front inner fenders on big bumps (taller springs + skinnier wheels = better but not perfect). So here's my question: Does anyone know if I can use the CPP rotors and calipers and just swap out the spindles for some factory 71-72 spindles? Will I be better off finding the rotors and calipers also? Here is a before and after of the truck for reference.

As long as its not a brake kit for a modular spindle I would think the stock spindle would accept the cpp disk brakes.

Hmmm. Not sure if its the modular spindle or not. Is there an easy way to check since I don't know which kit the previous owner bought? Also what year trucks can I take the stock spindles from? I know it starts in 71, but whats the last compatible year?

Its most likely not going to be as easy as you hoped. Unless you know exact for sure what the parts you currently have are, you're setting yourself up for trouble.

Heres why...

You're truck being a 70 model uses different ball joints and tie rods than a 71-72 truck does. Its most likely that the spindles you currently have are conversion spindles which use your original spec ball joints and tie rods. Therefore if you swap to a 71-72 spindle, you're gonna have to swap it all. The simplest option would be to buy a pair of stock height disc brake spindles for a 70 model from ECE.
