What do i need to do to alter my wiring harness for an internally regulated alternator, i just bought a wiring harness from another board member and it is for an original style truck with the voltage regulator on the truck, i started to put it in today and decided to ask quistions before i started cutting stuff up and screwing it up.
thanks.

Or you can just change the plug on your harness and jumper the connector to the voltage regulator. Check the FAQ section, I know I saw a thread on this.

you can get the adaptor at any store for the alternator, and on the regulator plug every other terminal gets connected to every other terminal ( 1 gets connected to 3, 2 gets connected to 4)

was gonna direct you to a thread on the FAQ board, but I guess there isn't a thread for this subject there yet.... maybe someone here can go over it in detail so we can post it over there once and for all...???
