1956 Body on 1996 everything else?
Anyone here take a 55-59 truck body and put it on a newer truck? Not just the frame but cut the floor and firewall from the 56 body and set it on the floor and firewall of a 96? May not be worth the work, but how hard would it realy be? I have a 96 that runs and drives great but was totled due to a side swipe. Body skin damage only.

I did it with a 62 and an s10, then switched it again to a 65 when I couldnt get a title for the 62. it wasnt too bad, moving the steering column was the hardest part.

I think I saw a build thread on here that someone did using a '90's Chevy with a 56 cab melded to the 96 floor pan.
Look in the build threads.
