As far as the Tow Truck goes, I am going to keep it mostly as it is. Right now I am in the middle of installing an aux fuel tank. The in-cab 18 gallon just does not have the range I would prefer, and I scored a really nice and solid aux tank that will look right at home on this rig.

I dont have to take the ferry down, we are choosing to. I have done enough cross country drives in my life to not get too excited about doing another one.....ever. You can drive down through the Yukon to BC and into either Washington state, or Montana from here.

I also dont want to log that many miles on this old boy. As it is we will be doing about 1500 miles with taking the ferry which will cut out 2,000 miles of driving, wear and tear on both the vehicle and our patience.

Glad you like the truck, I am planning on showing it again this weekend at a larger, judged, car show !

More to follow !!!

Re: HRSaR

Watched your video this morning and showed Nicola the last show pics.

She wants the tow truck...... But painted up like the one in "Cars" the movie.

That is going to be one helluva road trip you heading for.

Re: HRSaR

Sadly though, and not to get too deep in the details, Tow Mater was a 55-59 era truck.
Some success with 56-57 Chevy in making him for reals....
