spring in cab corner?

anybody know what this is? Its only on the passenger side but the drivers side looks to have the same screw going through the cab.

Is the bag still available? That was probably the first thing to go, I've never seen one in any parts magazine.

There were a couple of members selling reproductions a few years back but I don't think either one has been on the board for a while.... Here is a thread I posted back in 2006 that has the measurements pictured. The original material is a plastic coated foam about an eighth of an inch thick.
