Best adjustable stock mount trac bar?
Hello all,
It's been asked before I am sure but I can't seem to find the answer in the search function. I lowered mine 3 inches in the back. It is slightly off side to side by 1/2 inch now in the rear. What or who has the best adjustable trac arm bar available using the stock mount locations out there? Thanks for your help folks.

Re: Best adjustable stock mount trac bar?
Whoever you go with I'd buy a double adjustable bar. Way easier to adjust then the one sided adjustable. As far as stock location I haven't seen one. I think 3-4"+ drop you need to relocate them to the passenger side

Re: Best adjustable stock mount trac bar?
I have dropped mine 4.0 inches. I have a CPP but have relocated it to the lower passenger side. to keep a slight angle to it. They say with 3.0 you don't need it but I have used the same CPP bar in the past located to the passenger side. Fortunately I was able to reuse my stock U Bolts from the factory they came out with out any issues. Yeah I was surprised about it.
If you don't have a rear sway bar it may be a good time to install an IROC bar in there now. Search the site they had a great write up at one time for it and it sits cleaner than any other bar out there. Its no big deal to mount a couple 1.0 spacers, drill 4 holes, 2 3.0 heavy duty U clamps. Mount everything where you want it then tack weld he saddles to the clamps onto the axle tubes. Upgrade the front to the 1.25 front bar from a mid 80's truck it is a complete bolt in. |

Re: Best adjustable stock mount trac bar?
Thanks for the sway bar info. I have not done that yet. I'm have to look into the ccp trac bar. Is it double adjustable?

Re: Best adjustable stock mount trac bar?
Yes, the double adjustable does make it easier. But don't get to hung up, it's really easy to pull one side off to adjust and once it's adjusted you never touch it again.

Seems like there's been a lot of focus recently on getting a double adjuster track bar. I do not see the point. Look at it this way, measure your truck to see how far offset the rearend is. Then remove the stock track bar and adjust the new one to length, taking account of the amount of offset you're removing. Then just bolt it on. You'll never adjust it again. It's not something you do repeatedly like changing your oil.

Re: Best adjustable stock mount trac bar?
I did check on my rear bar. It is a single adjustable one. The only thing I would have done different would be buy one with the bend in it to better clear the rear cover. The straight bar works fine but does limit you on the removal of the rear differential cover.

Re: Best adjustable stock mount trac bar?
I just called CPP and Summit Racing and they said that the 6572DATB will fit in the stock location on a truck that is lowered 4" in the rear. The full colasped length is 23" according to CPP.

Re: Best adjustable stock mount trac bar?
Cool. Thanks for the info. Since I don't have to much to adjust a single adjustable should work fine. Is it better to go with the relocated style or stock mount style with only a 3-4 inch drop in the rear?
