With it plugged in Without it being in the contact position with the shaft (lose but plugged in ) You can turn the AC on off and go from hot to cold and watch it perform??/ Its not a real fast

motor because of the gear reduction ??/ But there shouldn't be any hesitation ( constant ) in the movement and not a lot of pick up ( Slopp ) at the ends

of travel ??/ You can even hold a grip on the moving shaft while moving to determine if its weak or faulty
