hedman 250 cid headers

I am considering hedman headers for my 250 l6. Anyone used them and any issues with the intake or heat riser??

Glad you bump'd it for him!!!
I just completed my install of the hedman headers and I love them. I got a awesome price for them on amazon.com.. They have gone up a bit since then but still a good price.

So my install went perfect but I did not use the original intake manifold so l am not 100% sure how they will match up but looking at both the exhaust and intake flanges I think they will be fine.. I put a link of a video so you can see how they look installed. If I can be anymore help please let me know.. Welcome to the site!!!

Re: hedman 250 cid headers

Your truck sounded great. Is that a Clifford manifold with a 4 barrel? Any jetting issues are just out of the box? Mine is a 70 stepside and the future holds 3x1 barrels if the money gods smile on me.

Love that set up. The more I see those intakes and headers the more I want....... Nicely done.

Re: hedman 250 cid headers

I put them on my '70 about 20 years ago (there still on there), I don't know if Hedman still uses the same patterns or not, though. Anyway, I had to grind a little bit off the motor mount for clearance, nothing major. They hang down real low, seems like the could have made them several inches shorter, but that's probably so they also fit the 292's with the taller block. My truck is a long bed and slightly lowered and they drag on some speed bumps and you can see them hanging down from the side. If you have a really low truck, might want some more feedback before you buy them.

Re: hedman 250 cid headers

Yep, I like mine but they do hang very low. with 5 inch drop even average speed bumps are scary. Haha and that deafening screech of the headers dragging across the asphalt will restore in you any lack of humility.
