Factory floor shift?

I was surfing on ebaymotors and came across an 85 1/2 ton 2wd with a supposed factory floor shift. I have never seen this, was this possibly a shifter out of a heavy duty truck, like a C60? Could this have been a special order option or did someone convert this to floor shift? This is not my truck.....ebay item number is 261503355248.

Re: Factory floor shift?

Pretty sure its a GM shifter, but not out of a big truck. Believe it is out of a FWD car. I would have to see the SPID on the floor shifter.

Re: Factory floor shift?

The ad states its an auto trans with no pick of the shifter but you can see the dipstick tube in the motor pic for the auto trans. As far as I know GM never had a floor shift for an auto trans. The only floor shifters Im aware of is the SM465(4spd granny low) and the A883(4spd w/OD) which are both standard transmissions.

Keith Seymore will know for sure.

Agree. Not a factory shifter.

Re: Factory floor shift?

I didn't think it was factory, someone has no idea or they are trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

Looks like a Pontiac shifter from a Fiero.

Re: Factory floor shift?

"factory floor shift" = marketing speak for; it was installed at a GM production facility...<whisper>in another model vehicle</whisper> .

Re: Factory floor shift?

What a cobbed together truck...I can't believe it was bid up to $4250...Worth about $1500-2000 in my opinion
