Advice on first truck

Total newb here and to these trucks, saw what I think is a good deal on a short bed c10, but I would appreciate more knowledgable opinions. Thanks for your time.

I've seen people want more for less that's for certain. I'm not a step side fan but it appears to be a original swb

A step side wouldn't be my first choice but I feel like it has potential, you think 2000 would be a decent price?

I wonder why there are no pictures of the left side of the vehicle? 2k would be a good start. L6 is not that desired and sometimes gets passed on. Though it is a great engine.
