Possible seat mounting tip

So installing one of my seats today I stripped a weld-nut in the floor (or whatever you call the things that the seats bolt into in the floor).

That sucked, but it's fixable. I'm not that hardcore about stock that I was going to Helicoil it, so I ran a bolt up from the bottom side. It poked out about an inch, I dropped the seat on it, added a nut and washer, boom - done.

But the lesson I learned is that it is orders of magnitude easier to drop the seat onto studs than trying to run bolts down through the carpet into the floor.

So, in theory, you could run 12 bolts up from below and it'd make installing your seats, including the step of cutting for the studs (easier than for bolts), much easier.

I'd use grade 8 hardware and offer no warranty or guarantee that it's equivalently safe as the factory method.

I also didn't check that all 12 are available from underneath (I already have the main 8 on the driver's side in from the top).

Maybe it'll help someone some day!
