Re: Wannabe prerunner teaser pics
Bringing this thread back from the dead. After blowing up the engine, this thing sat for a few years but I'm going to try and get it finished this year.
Here's how it's sitting right now and some pictures of the motor mounts I had fabbed up for it...

Re: Wannabe prerunner teaser pics
The engine is a LQ4 out of an '08 Express Van. I'm going to run it in front of the TH350/NP205 for now and see how it does.
I still need to plumb the fuel system, cooling system and power steering and get the harness/ECM (any recommendations?) redone. I'm hoping to get this hooptee up and running by Easter.

Re: Wannabe prerunner teaser pics
Very cool build thread, not to often you see the 67-72 body style getting long travel suspension. Looking forward to seeing this beast.

Re: Wannabe prerunner teaser pics
Dropped off the Camaro manifolds to get ceramic coated, ordered my harness from LS Performance Wiring and am going to place my fuel system order tonight.
Now, I just need to pick up an engine hoist and stand so I can pull the engine and swap on the F-Body pan I have and freshen it up.

Re: Wannabe prerunner teaser pics
The manifolds came with flanges and the section of pipe with the O2 bung. I'll just have the exhaust shop connect that to the crap 2.5" crush bent exhaust with flow masters that I had done back in the day.

Re: Wannabe prerunner teaser pics
Took the clutch fan off. Though it was going to be an ordeal but all it took was a big crescent wrench...

Re: Wannabe prerunner teaser pics
Stripped off the accessories, washed it down with dawn and water and pulled the valve covers and intake so I could check out inside...

Re: Wannabe prerunner teaser pics
The engine is supposed to have only 4k or so miles on it but you never know with these salvage yards. After seeing the valves, I think I believe it...
