Oil gauge copper line brass adaptor

It appears that I need the brass adaptor fitting that will permit me to attach my (LMC bought) copper tubing with two brass ends to my 6 cyl engine. I could not find any in the salvage yards. Where do you buy the OEM correct type that will not damage engine block threads? Tired of looking, and the oil gauge is the last thing I need to activate in my new gauge set.

Re: Oil gauge copper line brass adaptor

It would be so nice if everything on our old trucks just fell into place and worked right the first time.

Contact LocDoc (Leon), he is a board member that sells copper oil pressure line kits and it will have everything you need for under $15.00 shipped.

How about that tach wiring harness you needed a while ago?

Good luck,
Tom

Re: Oil gauge copper line brass adaptor

Thanks for the info. I contacted him.
I cannot seem to remember if I asked for a tach harness for my 68 C10...? The tach harness you mentioned must have been for my 81 C10. It has a factory tach in it that a friend on here helped me install and hook up. The tach in my 68 C10's existing new gauge set will not be hooked up until I get my V8 engine since it is a V8 tach. So until then I will not need one I guess.

I should have whatever you need. I can sell you a complete kit or individual pieces. Do your fittings look like these? I have two different styles of fittings for the block. The block fitting in the first picture is for the sleeve nuts that are shown with it and the block fitting in the second picture uses the nut and ferule. I will not sell them in this thread but I will post which ever one you need in the classified forum...

Here is a link to the complete oil line kit:

This one is for a V-8 but I can make them up for anything for a small additional cost.

It appears I need the one in the first picture since I have the compression sleeve nuts.

Re: Oil gauge copper line brass adaptor

My local Napa carries the compression sleeve nuts. I got a handful of them for a buck each.

" Since I am buying a new restored tach gauge cluster from tl74 I guess I will need one of these too!" This was on 04-24-2014 and I was just wondering if I needed to keep one aside for you. No worries either way. I only make these for 68-72 Chevy/GMC trucks.
