2001 s10 no power at all

Ok guys I'm having trouble diagnosing my electrical problem so first I'll tell you what I've done and checked.

What I have - 2001 ext cab s10 with 5 speed manual and 2.2l engine

What I've done:
The truck was run hot and the head was warped so I got the head machined and new head gasket, new ignition coils, timing set (since I was there and has 200k), and any gasket in the head gasket process. The only thing I have not hooked up are the spark plug wires to the spark plugs as I was wanting to prime the oil up to the head before fully starting.

I checked the battery it was dead so I got a new one and when I turn the ignition I get no power to anything - no dome light no ding ding nothing. I don't even hear anything to the starter.

I believe I should rule out the battery and clutch safety switch as the car would still give me radio and lights even if the safety switch was bad correct?

I also took a multimeter and checked volts on use starter with key in start position - red on terminal and black on ground...nothing but switched to continuity and I was getting continuity through the same setup.

I am stumped....any help would be great!!!
