Before I Start Cutting...
Thought I would ask before I put it to the grinder. Has anyone put a Edelbrock 1405 on a 68 307 before? The throttle is connected to the old carb via a round piece of solid metal. On the 1405 it fits perfect in a lower hole but it has to go in the upper hole because when you press the gas it pulls the throdle instead of pushing it.
I think I can get it to fit using my grinder on the throttle metal bar but hate to grind anything that I may want to put back stock later.

Glenn,
When you grind off the fitting for the cable on top of the throttle tang you will find that the rod connector end fits perfectly in there. I just did this to an old Q-jet to put in my 67.

Thats what I did when I put an AFB on my 454, but I ended up going back to the Quadrajet, because the motor ran better with it
