Temp sending unit
Does any one know if there is a difference in the info (ohm) between the 67-72 unit and the 90's unit. There is a physical difference (the 72 sending unit is bigger round). I as as my guage is pegged on cold, and only moves about an eighth of an inch (but it does move).
if there is a difference, does anyone know what it is, so I can add a resistor and make it work?

they are different.
there are a couple ways I know to get around it. I'm not aware of anyone who makes a sender in the correct ohm's with a 3/8npt to fit late model heads. you can run the 67-72 sender in the intake or water neck, it will read slightly cooler but not enough to matter in my opinion. you can turn a 67-72 sender down and rethread it to 3/8npt, you'll need a lathe to do this. I just happen to have one in my garage. you can also use adaptor fitting as a stop gap until you can get a sender turned down and rethreaded

Anyone know the ohm range of each?
I can adapt the electronics easier than the modifieng the unit.
