93 gmc upholstery
hey guys I'm wanting to hear some suggestions from you regarding my upholstery.
I found the stripped gray fabric that is on the pleats of the seat and have enough to do my driver seat. My problem though is i got a sample of the dark gray fabric that surrounds the pleats on the seat. I'm pretty sure the sample is the correct one but its darker than what is in my truck now. the company asked to send a sample of my interior but I rather not cut into the material. All the seats are in great shape except for my driver seat which is well worn out. I could get vinyl seat covers specifically made for the truck from another company with the pleats. I would just have to remove my existing upholstery and put those in place but then I think it would be good to just go ahead and redo the door panels with vinyl as well. I love the interior of these vehicles and would love to just do the seat and be done with it but I'm afraid of having missed matched colors. I would love to hear suggestions from you guys whether I should just recover all seats and door panels or recover the driver seat. thanks guys and have a great weekend!! |

Re: 93 gmc upholstery
There's little hope for matching one new seat cover with a 21 year old interior. The sun and time take their toll on the fabrics. Door panels, seats and even carpet fade with time.

Re: 93 gmc upholstery
yeah I'm kind of considering recovering all of the seats but I hate trashing the original material when all except the driver seat is in good shape.
