I too say fix it (I don't know what a slam is). I guess you could sell the leftover parts.

Keep in mind that AC cabs are different. Not just the holes in the dash, I believe the firewall openings are very different for the AC box vs. standard Heater box. So you're likely going to have to keep the AC box anyway, which will look weird. Unless you're going to the point of reworking the metal on the firewall...
