Question Lokar or other auto trans mounted shifter

hey guys, looking for a floor shifter for th400 on my 86... has anyone used a Lokar transmission mounted shifter on their th350/th400? if so, what is your opinion on them... are they flimsy, or a pretty solid setup?

any recommendations on other floor shifters for our trucks, and what is a good length for stock bench seat?

kind regards

Re: Lokar or other auto trans mounted shifter

Have one in mine. Pretty nice setup. Just pull it to second when I need to. It does rattle though but my drivetrain is set on poly. I have a hurst super shifter boot covering mine.

hey insidious, hope all is well... thanks for the info, do you have a pic of how it looks in the cab, do you have the lokar top mount shifter or the one that bolts to the back of the tail housing?

kind regards
