Where the tread sits on the road, is usually 9-1/2 inches wide on most of those tires.

Tires are different from one brand to next, wonder what yours measure, exactly???

Mounted the tach in a different place today.... The shifter was going to interfere with it ...

Got my tires put in layaway at the Wal-Mart today .... 295/50/15 for the rear and 205/65/15 for the front.... Going to order my radiator, transmission cross member and tubular engine mounts this weekend..... I have vacation coming up the first week in October plan is to have this thing running by the end of vacation.... I can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish you had forged pistons...
I measured them and they measured about 13" from outside curve to outside curve (__) ..... so I think the tread is about 12" wide..... oh yea I wish I had forged pistons too... Maybe next time I'll be able to afford the all forged 427ci small block roller motor of my dreams...
