now my 69 will have tilt and not have shifter hump all for $50.00 instead of $500.00 from local rod shop

Don't wanna pop yer bubble, but, "Will that collar fit in the dash?" IRC, it's to large of a diameter to fit?

ya just had to trim bottom 4 inches off will post pics of it fitted in later

for anyone looking to do this i measured where the pipe needs to be cut to fit the hoop in the dash

nice work man.
you certianly dont see too many oe floor shift tilt colums up for grabs.
and now with a lil' sweat you have a nice one on the cheap yet.

we had one of those shifters in the kids 67. it was either knuckles against dash for park,or fingers buried in the bench for first.
then we swapped in a high hump and mounted the new unimatic to it .now the shifter almost looks like it belongs in a old truck and its a much better fit

ya the shifter is set back far enough so i dont bang my knuckles and im putting a seat from a 2004 gmc and my tank is in the back so the seat sits back so should be ok lol
