I have a 70 C/10 and I had to get different perches for the motor mounts when I put my 400 SB in otherwise your motor will set against the the fire wall

Re: flywheel clutch question. help please!

all the six cyl parts like the starter flywheel clutch & bellhousing will fit a v8. I installed a 350 in a 67 GMC and the 6 cyl side mounts fit the V8 the only change I did was install a larger radiator the had three rows of cores. Unless you some how move the rear engine mounts & crossmember the V8 engine wont set any farther back than the six cyl does. on my 67 GMC and every 60 thru 66 standard shift truck ive ever seen there are two bolts that go through the rear mounts and thread into ears on each side of the bellhousing. and the rear crossmember is riveted into place.
