Finished my bed pics
Well this is the look I've had in my head for this thing all along. It's a a no Frills truck with a no Frills bed. No chrome or stainless, no marine clear or anything loud.
I did the wood (oak) with linseed oil. Just plan on maybe doing it once a year maybe depending how it holds up. Bed strips are a satin black, a (little dirty in the pic as I didn't want to get the wood wet before taping up). I used raptor spray bed liner , and must say this stuff turned out great. The pics don't do it justice. I've used the roll on and it IS Garbage. Will find out on the durability, but this will only get light use, I was mainly after the look. But there if I need it, hence the oiled floor, gets scratched, oil it.. I know the purists would rather see paint on the sides, but hey, it's my truck. What ya think?

Re: Finished my bed pics
In my professional opinion, Dude, that is sweet! I was just thinking as I sat down to the computer about going to the shop tomorrow as I have a fresh load of wrecked cars coming in to work on. I have been sparked to go about 5:30 0r 6:00 so I can work on my stuff for a couple of hours before the transport comes in. Thanks for the push[I would have just been watching cartoons anyway]. Jim

Re: Finished my bed pics
Looks great! Did you spray the bedliner on the top of the bedsides?

Re: Finished my bed pics
Thx guys.
I didn't run it on top, just to the upper edge. If it were going to have heavy use, I would do the top..

Re: Finished my bed pics
I like it! Been thinking about doing this to mine to cover up some slight rust issues. Any details on the product you used? Where to get, ease of use? Thanks.

Of coarse that's after sanding mine with 180 and lots of taping here's a closer look. You can achieve more or less coarse look by spray distance and pressure. This was approx 12 to 14 inches at 50 psi.. Thankyou all for the compliments.
