Re: What are these bucket seats?
those are called buddy buckets the center folds down and under it has a cubby hole or glove box type console they are very desirable and can get pricey 150-1200. area , the pic shows those in fairly nice shape foam is pretty solid looking , that would be a nice score

Re: What are these bucket seats?
Thank you. I knew they were buddy seats but thought they looked a little different. Just curious if they're C10 seats or something out of a van or RV or??? Thanks again

Re: What are these bucket seats?
These buckets look pretty rounded in the front and a little narrow(far away from the center seat). It may be the angle of the photo so Im not sure. The buddie seat site high or the side buckets are sitting low. I cant tell. Im certinly not picking on the seat just trying to ensure you get what you believe your getting.
I can post a pic of my set when I get home as a comparison if someone doesnt do it first. Mike |

Re: What are these bucket seats?
The main seats do not appear to be chevy truck buckets from the view of the pic. The center seat does look original. The main seats look to rounded in the front and the backrest doesn't appear high enough in relation to the back window. I'm no expert though.

Re: What are these bucket seats?
I'm pretty sure the seats aren't buddies, unless someone did some foam mods & recovered them. They don't look like they've been recovered recently though. Like cash said they are too round on front corners, not sure on center though it looks right.

Re: What are these bucket seats?
Some of the old Dodge Trucks and I think Vans had seats that looked like that

Re: What are these bucket seats?
I thought the dodge buddies looked very close to the GM's though, but the frames were different. I'm not @ all familiar with van seats.

Re: What are these bucket seats?
Can't tell without a better pic. The frame is the key piece in identifying what they will fit.

Re: What are these bucket seats?
Thanks a ton guys. I haven't bought them. I will ask owner for better pics asap. He just wants a bench so I was going to trade my decent bench for these. Maybe throw a little cash in if needed.

Re: What are these bucket seats?
They are ford van seats about $30.00 from any old junk yard , the center I'm not sure of from that picture but if it doesn't fold down or the bottom cushion lift up with storage under the cushion it's just another old van seat and not worth much , I'm not picking on them just many better choices to be had . Why not just customize your bench seat to get what you want ?

Re: What are these bucket seats?
The deal just fell in my lap. The guy was here buying some patch panels off an old cab I have and seen a bench seat I had laying in the shop. When he said he wanted to trade his C10 buckets for my bench I got a little excited. But when he sent this pic I got a little concerned. I'm no expert but they just don't look right. The center part does lift up and has storage underneath. I will ask him for more pics. He knows nothing about them. Here's the old bench he seen and wanted to trade for
This was in an old parts truck I bought and I have a better bench seat that I planned on using. I just got excited when he said that he thought the were original buckets. Hoping he can unbolt them and get better pics... And I'm not against the late model buckets like pictured but just prefer 67-72 OEM seats for this particular truck. |

Re: What are these bucket seats?
I got the exact[I think but it has been so long since I've even looked in my truck sad to say] same seats in my 68 GMC I thought the buddies weren't too friendly looking so I asked the guy I got the truck from He said that the seat were utility buckets I suppose similar to that of a van of the day. But the man also said he liked those better than the buddy seat for some reason but if I would like the others he had them put up in his shop at his house and I was welcome to them. He farther went on to say that he thought the seats were very close to that of a 69-70 bucket seat with different covers and of course tracks but I'm not sure of that either, if they would go as that I could use them in another truck when I put the buddies back on the frame.
