Weatherstripping question
So I got some "new" weatherstripping for my doors this past weekend for my 72. The type that you press on from an early 90 ' s chevy. It fits nice and snug and is much thicker than the oe stuff. My question is how did you guys do the bottom part that goes to the floor. The truck I got it from has a lip that it clips over, but mine doesnt. Do I just need to glue it to the floor or am I missing something obvious here?

Re: Weatherstripping question
Mine has that "lip" all the way around the door opening, but mine is a '70 model. Are your rocker's toast? My passenger side "lip" is missing where the rocker is shot... Just a thought.

Ed is correct. There should be a pinch weld all the way around the door opening. The sill plate will probably hold it in place to a certain extent but I don't know how well it will seal. LockDoc

Re: Weatherstripping question
Alright thanks fellas. Our rockers were replaced in the mid 90s by my dad's friend that painted the truck. He probably trimmed them off which might also been the reason there was no stripping down there now. :/ I will just put my own lip on there with some scrap stainless I have I guess.
