Not truck related, but a local story to me that is sickening.

I know this isn't truck related but in Regan's thread there was talk of stolen race cars and such, here is a story that happened with a local racer and a car I know very well and have raced against for years with different members of the owners family driving.

Warning, pictures in the second link after the story in the first are not for the faint of heart.

Man the words that come to mind right now would get me thrown off this site ....

those worthless pieces of should have their reamed in prison for about a decade, Then when they get out are slaves to the owner and any local racer that just wants to beat the out of them.

Unbeileveable ! Car like that cant be replaced . Hope they hang them . Fortunatly its an olds . Not many olds motors out and about . Hopefully they find who did it .

On another note , i have my whole race operation insured for $38,500 through racers insurance . Cost me $550 a year and covers everything everywhere except point a to b on the track . Even covers the engine if the machine shop is broken into and such . Truck , trailer , golf cat , tools , generator everything is covered

Motor was a brand new 572 BBC.

I know I'll be looking into what I'm covered for with my extra insurance on my truck, been awhile and can't remember exactly.

Mines not a full operation or anything, but when I had my truck insured, I requested information on "extra equipment" coverage. My hobbyist insurance covers the normal insurance stuff, but also includes coverage for spares/replacement parts/jacks/specialty tools if stolen. If I'm on a roadtrip, anything in/around the truck is covered, including all my camera gear, my gun etc.

If I'm at a car show, track, etc...I have coverage for theft of spare wheels, jacks etc.

Mines not really an operation either . Mainly my enclosed trailer and contents and the truck and all its parts .

Ugh! That is very similar to what happened to fellow Super Gas racer, David Tatum, earlier this year. His car was eventually found in about the same state of demo - from and rear halves cut off.
