Hey Tom,

Look for the round space ball looking thing that will be attached to the heater core housing. It should have two vacuum hoses plugged into it. It acts as a reserve vacuum resevior for the vacuum operated heat/ac doors.

Other that, I am not sure.

Tom,

Thanks buddy! I looked and felt all around, never could find a nipple to plug that hose to. Found it now, just need a longer vacuum hose to reach it now...by the way, how ya been? Did you move yet, or is that a little later this year?

First thing to do would be to check the vacuum motor at the vent with a hand pump.Then work your way through the vacuum lines with the service manual.

* VIN/Model Decoders
* Power Team Charts (engine/transmission/gear ratio)
* Post Your Pickup SPID Blazer SPID Suburban/Panel SPID
* RTFM
... Read The Factory Manuals... download 'em here

Well I did post the link in #4 (RTFM) to download the manuals wherever you may be. Testing the vacuum motor just verifies its operation. There are many places that could be open in the system preventing it from working correctly. A hand pump or testing it directly with engine vacuum helps you backtrack with confidence.

Glad you got it figured out Tom. Mine also has a vacuum hiss behind there somewhere but I am not worried about it yet.

I got the number but was busy. I will put you in my contacts. Call me anytime. Are you in MO now or just the phone number? I will be rolling through St Louis around the 16/17th of September. Yes, I am getting ready to move out to Oregon and that is when we will be in there St Louis area. Maybe we can get together if you are around.

Take care,
tom
