1972 Blazer - Factory rock guard / chip guard?
Hey does anyone know if the '72's came with any chip guard applied from the factory? My Bronze one is in for final assembly and paint, and it previously had a very light chip guard up to the lower body line which looked 'factory'. I always assumed it was original to the truck.
Trying to decide whether to get him to reproduce this on the new doors and fenders, or remove it from the original quarters... If they were smooth from the factory, I'll keep it smooth. It's a base model with no side mouldings. Thanks. |

Re: 1972 Blazer - Factory rock guard / chip guard?
The last few years I've been using the 3M clear on my wife's cars. It's a great, almost invisible, clear product, really dependent on how well it's applied.
I don't believe it was around in the 70's and don't think GM had it available. Maybe someone else knows more than I do about it.
