New to the site from AZ

I have been browsing this site for quite sometime just doing my best to prepare myself and learn as much as possible before buying my truck. Finally picked up a 1978 GMC 1500 and I have so many more questions but I am loving it.

Re: New to the site from AZ

Welcome Mr. Rogers

FYI.... all the original body parts except the hood and two front fenders were stamped in Indianapolis IN. I am a retiree from that plant...
in 1978 we hired a lot of people. I was an Apprentice Millwright that year.

By 1979 we had a plant census of 5,800 employees. The plant closed in 2011 and is presently being demolished.
