Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Cut the step loose and pushed it down, sill stayed level and parallel with the door bottom. Still needs welded and hammer and dolly work and door gap set but much closer.

JJ, you know I love your truck but what are your plans? Are you turning it into a GMC step side or maybe a GMC Suburban Carrier? Those are more rare than hen's teeth as I'm sure you know.

I thought you'd posted awhile ago that you intended to make your truck into a Cameo, but now I'm a bit confused. She's still a GREAT looking truck!

Dang Softpatch, I think what you really need is a few more leaf springs. What was that thing hauling, all the steel to build the Titanic?

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

My cab had been smelling like gasoline when I would fuel up. Large hose would leak no matter how tight the clamp was. So I ordered a set of hoses, and a new filler neck grommet, as the 60 yr old original was looking a bit tired.... Got them off the internet from Grumpys parts in Arizona. They arrived in two days! Hoses and grommet fit perfectly, just a bit of grunting, and a little lube, to get them on. 81 deg and 50% humidity here in So Cal today, actually had a tiny bit of rain!

Thanks JJ.
Are you missing pieces to complete the Cameo conversion?

Since you're wheels are orange I'm wondering what your eventual final color scheme is planned to be? Orange two tone could look great. A little like a 50-50 bar!

I like the direction this truck is going. I was looking for a truck with a six in it when I bought mine.
