Bought another stepside
bought a 55 stepside. second edition large rear window. another guys project that family issues prevented him from finishing. has 96 Impala front frame clip welded in along w/Impala rear axel w/bags. new bed sides and front panel and tailgate. LT1 engine from Corvette w/l460e tranny. painless wiring. said he had it running but no battery to check it with. engine is free. been sitting about 4 years. lots of extra parts and some new sheet metal pieces. cheap I thought at $800. may take a couple years to finish. retired got the time. Here are some pics.
Sorry for repost, couldn't find first post, thought I screwed it up OOps!! Last edited by buster; 07-09-2014 at 09:18 PM. |

Re: Bought another stepside
Buster, that is a sweet deal for a nice old pickup that has already had some custom upgrades including the modern engine. Can you post some pics of that Impala front end graft? I can't wait to see how this one turns out. Jason

Here's your other thread. It was just down the page a little.

Re: Bought another stepside
Looks like a decent "jump" in the right direction. As for the price ... WOW - smoking hot deal-e-o.
Good luck with the project. |
