eaton rear end / need advice
I have a 70 3/4 ton with a eaton rear end. I pulled the cover discovered its not a posi. I could not find numbers on the ring gear but counted 41 teeth. so Im sure its a 4:10. I was really hoping for a posi. What options are out the make it a posi if I even can??
Thanks, Wes |

Re: eaton rear end / need advice
So what made you hope it was a posi, SPID, codes or a sticker?
The Eaton H052 was available with a NoSpin locker from the factory (SPID code G86) or dealer installed. On an H052/72 the NoSpin replaces the spiders inside the existing case. Did you actually see spider gears? Unfortunately the NoSpins are kind of hard to find and bring a fair amount of money. However a 14 bolt Detroit Locker can apparently be used if the axles are replaced (there is a spline count difference between the two axles). A quick site search should get you to an interchange thread for specifics. 41-10T would be a factory 4.10 ratio

Re: eaton rear end / need advice
Not sure about the the spline count. There is a new 19 spline on ebay for $500.00. You may want to pay the $25.00 and subscribe. Then post a want to buy thread. I have found two at the pick-n-pull in the last couple of months. Hope this helps.

Re: eaton rear end / need advice
After looking at the picture SS Tim posted, I am pretty sure the one I posted isn't correct.
