Cheyyenne Autocross

Im looking to make my cheyenne a autocross truck on a budget. It has a 305 with a 4 speed. I have ordered drop spindles and lowering blocks for the rear, need to get sway bars for front and rear.. need some advice on modifications.
Should i stay with stock control arms and get polyurethane ball joints???

Read the ruleset for sure. Pick a class, and build for the class. Unless you just want to have fun, in which case do what you want - just be prepared to be uncompetitive.

I ran H/Stock in an '86 Civic.

Then F/SP in a '94 Sentra.

Then D/Mod in a Super 7.

My truck will likely be E/Mod because of suspension and frame modifications.

You have another vehicle to drive?
Kill weight wherever possible. The widest tires you can run with a 200tw rating or higher and a muncie for good gear spread and engine braking. 3:55-4:11 gearing should do most tracks. Getting it as low as possible with some really good shocks and moderate susp mods and you will have fun.

Re: Cheyyenne Autocross

Lowering blocks won't work on these trucks, unless you've already flipped the rear. But even then I'd never run a block with a flip kit.
