Steel Bed Floor repair question
My bed floor is in need of some repair, especially in the front corners where it looks like Swiss cheese. I cut an area in the passenger side corner but can't seems to get it loose from the cross rails. Anyone have any suggestions how to get the floor loose from the cross rails without cutting the rails?

Re: Steel Bed Floor repair question
Theyre spot welded. If you clean the area really well Youll see the spots you need to get a spotweld cutter for your drill or a broach about 5/16" and drill the spot welds to get the floor section out. Heres a pic of one from underneath usually every other ridge.

Re: Steel Bed Floor repair question
Yeah. You can see them and feel them with your fingertip from the top as well but you have to sand the area to bare metal and if its pitted badly they are nearly impossible. They arent always in the middle of the ridge either.
