It is the 2 mounts on the bellhousing that will actually take the thrust from the torque. that frt mount is actually the same as a rear trans mount if the eng was side mounted
this fellow in the following link will have a set of the right 4 x 4 perches for a 63-66 4 x 4 for a sbc as he has gotten the right set for a 292. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=635291
another set-up that one can use is out of a 67-72 4 x 4 which is what I bolted into my 64

there is also different frame heights between the years 60-62 are not as high as the 63 & up; in this link

you will have to use a spacer on top of the frame to use the later mounts. the alturnative is to fabricate your side mounts. bolt any of them in instead of welding them in,
believe that there was also someone on this board recently that said that they had 2 of those orig horseshoe mounts

Ron, That is true with the C series truck frames, but I believe the K series frames are the same height from '60-'72. That is why I suggested the '67-'72 K series engine mount crossmember.
