exhaust manifolds w/o air pollution tubes

Is there such an exhaust manifold that did not have the holes for the air pollution tubes that will properly fit a 1985 454 K30? Thanks

Re: exhaust manifolds w/o air pollution tubes

YES!
I just replaced mine! I found an old factory set locally with out the smog tube holes. My factory 1983 manifolds had cracks in them anyway.

I had a hard time finding the gasket that goes between the manifold and the heat riser (mine is disabled)...but these manifolds bolted right in.

I used the longer aftermarket exhaust studs from the picture on the drivers side, and had to make my own studs for the passenger side due to the long length.

I even took the time to use a carbide burr to take out the "hump" in the ports of the manifolds. Easier than I thought.

What you have posted is exactly what I need. Can you please post the casting numbers of each. John

Hope it wasn't too bad. Mine were all seized in the manifolds. The most disturbing part was how much of the tube extends into the exhaust port of the head.

I'm kinda like duct tape- no real purpose, but handy to have around.

Re: exhaust manifolds w/o air pollution tubes

Did they use those manifolds on the 88-99 trucks?

Re: exhaust manifolds w/o air pollution tubes

There are various ones to get...there are ebay from time to time.

You can use the 88-91 454 manifolds but they have the O2 sensor hole in them.
