Re: Remember the '71 Gmc that I owned?

No sold it to a friend of mine, he sold it to a guy there.. He's trying to sell it for a higher price. I was going to try to buy it back

I had 95% of the work done on that truck except for a new clutch fan and a new tailgate/patch panels

Re: Remember the '71 Gmc that I owned?

I know how you feel. I recently saw one of my old trucks on a used car lot one block from my house. I found it real hard to resist stopping in there. I told myself if it didnt' sell in a couple of weeks I'd check on it. I don't need it and it's gotten a bit beat up since I had it but I sure did like that truck.

Re: Remember the '71 Gmc that I owned?

I miss the truck to be quite honest, I was trying to replicate my pawpaws '71.. First truck, but I have one of my pawpaws trucks and it has a history to it as well.

I've invited him to join this site, so hopefully he will join

Re: Remember the '71 Gmc that I owned?

I wish that I could find my Grandfathers 71, it was in decent shape and hasn't been scrapped.. I wonder why it isn't in a title name yet...who knows I just need to give up on it

It depends on where it was sold. If it was sold in Georgia or Alabama (among other states), it will never be titled again, as those states do not issue titles for older vehicles. You cannot get an Alabama title for any vehicle 35 years old or older whether you want one or not.
