Coil spring measurement?

Does anyone know off the top of their head what the measurement is between the inside of the two front coil springs on a 2wd 67-72 Chevy? I came across a really cheap set of axles out of a 2005 f250 complete with coil springs. It got me thinking that using those axles would be a cool way to convert my 68 Chevy to 4wd if I could use the stock 2wd spring buckets.
