Looking for something with better flow than stock manifolds suggestions

Looking for some ideas on replacing the stock manifolds. Will the vette or camaro ones bolt on so that the exhaust is easy to put on or are headers a better way to go. Or should I just leave the truck manifolds

I don't think that you will find the truck manifolds to fit on the LS swap. The trail blazer ss manifolds have been used, & look to fit well on an auto trans app. I used a set of Hooker streetrod shorties, as they cleared all of the mechanical clutch linkage. Auto trans, or hyd clutch setup, you have more choices? I will let the rest of the guys "chime in", as to app & fit...Longhorn

Re: Looking for something with better flow than stock manifolds suggestions

I did run a set of ls6 manifolds off a zo6 they fit, I then swapped to a set of midlength Camaro manifolds, I now have a truck manifold on the drivers side plumbed into a turbo.
I made my own mounts and did slightly "clearance" the top of the frame rail. It was slight.
I do remember an article in hotrod a year or 2 ago and they did dyno testing, the ls6 style performed within 2 or 3 hp of headers. I believe the trailblazer manifolds are similar. Unless you are building a high reving high horsepower motor I don't think you will see a lot of difference between anything you use. You can chase the last few hp with a lot of dollars.

how does the Camaro manifolds flow compared to the truck ones? I was gonna go with headers but was told the Camaro ones I got flow great and don't need headers.

check out these 2 articles. There is probably a ton of other web information. I just remember the carcraft article.
